There had been no doubt that discontent is the absolutely explanatory factor of social movement involvement until the appearance of resource mobilization theory emphasizing resources-networks in the 1970s. Subsequently, many scholors have tried to integrate two kinds of factors. But their integration theories can't satisfy me, because most of them arrange two kinds of factors at the same stage. I think they operate on social movement involvement at the different stages-discontent at the first stage and resources-networks at the second stage. I classify discontent into three levels.
